An Excuse

About anything and everything related to culture, art, food, and of course, booze.

A long time comin’

So it’s been a little while since the last excuse was posted but soon there will be another edition added.. this time using a special drink that not that many people have heard of unless you’re Cornelius Vanderbilt or someone similar. Keep an eye out for the next excuse!

The second in a series of drunkscapades undertaken by me and several of my closest friends. This week we examine the finer points of crafting the perfect hot toddy, a drink traditionally drunk during this time of year when we are trying to fight the ever so bitter cold. Not only is this drink drunk but we are also drunk when we drink it! Enjoy.

Christmas time always brings out the nostalgic side of me. Every year I have this compulsive urge to inundate myself in Christmas music. My favs are the classics, like “The Grinch Song” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” but sometimes an alternate version of these songs is what I want to hear even if I didn’t realize it ‘til I heard it. Right now I’m diggin’ The Raven and the Writing Desk. They just put out a Christmas EP that you can download for free on their bandcamp here. Pretty sweet in my book.

An amazing architectural achievement by Hannah Hart of My Drunk Kitchen. The graham cracker people thank you Hannah.
